We held the photo shoot for all three Celebrations quilts
on a steamy late July morning.
We . . .
That second shadow (left) belongs to my younger son --
he is SUCH a good sport about helping me with photo shoots.
(And we really wondered what some of the many passing drivers thought . . .
there was plenty of rubber-necking going on!)
Here, he was standing on a low marble bench that runs along the side of the Brooks Museum.
However, the breeze kept playing havoc with the quilts . . .
Next, we tried using the protected side entrance's doorway . . .
. . . but he quickly tired of standing on his tiptoes,
fighting with drooping corners,
and having his fingers show!
Not to mention the fact that these doors
turned out to be much less photogenic than the fabulous doors
shown in Kaffe Fassett's books!
I just couldn't resist this photo!
The sun's rays also provided some unexpected effects.

Despite the nonsense and laughter,
we were grateful to finish and retreat to the air-conditioned car!

Even though these three quilts will soon travel cross-country
to their intended recipients,
we have some great photos and good memories!
