As predicted, there was no action in the studios this weekend. Young Man (with the grownups on hand) spent time doing lots of other things.
Things that included riding his scooter around and around our block, meeting and playing with a group of neighborhood kids on the other side of the block, going to the big skate park twice with his scooter, riding his scooter in the rain, solving a couple of my word search puzzles (he's gotten so much better at it over the last year), practicing his 50-states song for the end-of-school-year second grade Chapel program next Friday, spending lots of time on his backyard rope swing, playing video games on Dee Dah's computer, watching videos on YouTubeKids (mostly Minecraft oriented), and building complicated things with MagnaTiles.
He also spent quite a bit of time creating this double title page for his new "epic journal" about Piggy and Dragoo. He said he hopes he can have it published when he's finished but we agreed that first he has to do the writing. (the book itself is a hardbound journal filled with lined paper)
He went home with Daddy Sunday after dinner - one tired but happy boy.
And since I don't have any new studio photos to share, I'll leave you with a photo of our backyard azalea bush. It has been magnificent this year.

The Azalea bush is beautiful! I used to love seeing all of the Azaleas in bloom when I went to Paducah for the big quilt show, so many years ago now.
Sounds like a great weekend, Julie. Lovely azalea! Mine are in full bloom, as well, here in North Carolina.
