Final Finishes of 2023

Brumous is finished.

Created using the Happy Stripes pattern from Quilty Love.

Quilted with all over liberated spirals using Glide thread in German Granit.

Here is the pieced backing which used up the rest of the wintery gnome fabrics.

I also used up quite a few of the leftover 2.5" strips in the scrappy binding.

And here it is on the kitchen table.

Khaki season is here, hence the brown yard (the grass will green again, but not until spring).

Here's a closer look so you can enjoy the quilted texture.

Gnomeville, our new January dining room wall quilt, is also finished.

24" wide x 36" long.

(no outdoor photos for either one since it has been wet and cold)

And, unsurprisingly, there were leftover pieces and parts from the two projects.

At this point, they're sewed together into a long slab that will become a runner.

The top, back, batting, and binding strips are ready to go, but FMQ and finishing will not happen until next year.
