front of quilt
Early morning photo shoot in the back yard.
back of quilt
Created based on Bonnie Hunter's 2012 Mystery Quilt.
Never one to follow directions to the letter,
I adjusted the placement of colors
and used my scrappy leftover parts for the back.
center front detail
Quilted by Margaret Gunn.
Measures 67" x 89"
Joy in the Journey - the front
After finishing the flimsy and back,
I set aside three potential binding fabrics.
As it turned out,
none of them worked.
Scrappy pinks were the answer!
Joy in the Journey - the back
Each scrappy block in the back is unique.
Quilting and binding detail (indoor photo)
Freshly laundered
and
wonderfully crinkled ~
Joy is already in use on our couch.

It's lovely!
Wonderful. Joy is a very appropriate name. It has this "under water effect", ripples across the quilt.
Yea! Beautiful! Congratulations!!
Perfect time for the photo shoot of this particular quilt:
Psalm 30:5 ...but joy comes with the morning. It is wonderful!!
what motivation you have to bind all these quilts! They look great :-)
This is spectacular...love your colours and layout and borders...
And the amazing backing makes it a two sided quilt!
