Moxie - the Quilt

Moxie, the soon-to-be-gifted baby quilt for our family friends' new arrival,  is finished.

Made with the yellow leftovers from Abendrot and an array of teal/turquoise/aqua fabrics from the stash, Moxie measures 49" x 63"

Quilted with Glide thread in Robin Egg using my liberated free motion oversize orange peels.

I'm delighted with the way the scrappy back came together.

Here's a closer look at the fabrics, some of which you'll recognize from previous quilt backs and/or placemats I've made.

Most of the yellow squares are made with two rectangles but if you look closely, some of the diagonal rows feature blocks made with a mix of smaller yellow scraps.  

Even Mr. Dragon helped with this backyard photo shoot . . . 

Now the quilt is headed off for a trip through the washer and dryer before being tucked into a gift bag so it is ready to go when the baby is born.
