These are so beautiful! I love the stories of how the design of each quilt evolved. No templates, no paper piecing, no pattern. I find it all fascinating and often learn much from your thought processes. Thank you for sharing with us. I also find it interesting to see what fabrics you pull out of your stash for backings…you often have yardage of colorful fabrics you have been saving for a backing. How much do you typically buy for that (potential) purpose?
I also wanted to ask….how do you package your quilts for mailing and what shipping method do you prefer? When they ask for a description of contents of the package, what do you say? Quilt? Or blanket/textiles etc?
