Otsego Revisited - the Quilt

Otsego Revisited is finally a finished quilt.

48" x 60"

You can read the back story
for the quilt and its name HERE.

Otsego Revisited actually counts for two different challenges
from Ann and Kaja over at the Ad Hoc Improv Quilters blog --
Flowers from mid-2019 and Positive Thinking from mid-2020.

Quilted using another of my unmarked free motion designs
named Liberated Swirls and Eddies.

(inspired by a mashup of the Pajama Quilter's Dwirling,
 Leah Day's Ocean Currents, and
my own love of wide open curved stitching)

Since these photos were taken, the quilt has been laundered.

It's all soft and cuddly now - ready for spring to arrive.

And since today is Winter Solstice,
the days will now get incrementally longer
which makes me very happy.

I'll be back with a new post after Christmas weekend.

Wishing you and yours a safe and healthy holiday!

Another beautiful fun finish. It makes me yearn for spring, especially the backing. Turn on those daylight bulbs and hang in there-- the days get longer from here. Happy holidays!

You nailed this one! You have a wonderful color sense and it shines here!

This is one of my favorites from all your many beautiful quilts. It gives me an idea for using another floral print from the same company that I bought coordinating fabrics for and then could never figure out what to make. It would be good to get that collection out of the stash. Yes,it's wonderful that the days will now be getting longer even if we hardly ever see the sun until March or April. Merry Christmas.

Such a gorgeous quilt, Julie. And what nice staging for the photo against that fence. Makes me think hopeful things about spring. Happy Solstice!

Again, the colors are a treat. And your quilting is great! Swirls and circles are a delight here.
Merry Christmas. Stay safe.

So good to see such color on such gray days here. Couldn't see the planets as it is clouds and rain. Those clothespins make me laugh every time. Have a Merry Christms, Julie!

That beautiful backing fabric is a great teaser of spring and summer.

I too always feel better once the days start getting longer again. Your quilt is a lovely, bright way to celebrate the solstice.

Beautiful! Loved your mention of the Pajama Quilter. Her books and videos really helped me in my early quilting days and I still use them.

How I love the vibrancy of this quilt! Once again you've used wonderful fabric for the backing!
