I finally sat down with those
long-pulled fabrics for my yellow barn.
I like the floral batik ground
but it overpowers the barn.
This KF print does more to make the barn glow.

I am going to quilt this particular barn
which is a very intimidating thought after
the amazing quilting Chris did on the others.
However, I'm not ready to quilt just yet.
I have more ideas to play with first.

For those in the local area,
I'll be teaching BUILD A BARN 101
on Tuesday March 14
and
Thursday April 20.
(both local classes start at 9:00 and end at 4:00)
AND
I'll be teaching this week-long class
at the Folk School in NC April 2-7.
So if you don't hear from me quite as often
I'll be in the studio building new barns
and otherwise getting ready.

My dream is to take a class from you someday! I bet I would have a great time. The yellow barn is terrific.
The yellow barn is a wonderful gift in February! Hey -- I just read that 2019 QuiltCon is going to be in Nashville. I told Himself, "We're going." See you then, if not before!
Lovely! That floral print is just singing and it goes so well with the barn. The yellow is a great color too!
You're right, that second ground fabric makes the barn glow! That's Roman Glass by KF, isn't it? His small scale prints are surprisingly versatile.
Love your new barn!!
Thanks for sharing your quilting plan. The crosshatching on the barn doors is cute. I use vinyl overlay, too. It helps figure these designs out.
I love the yellow barn!
