These Make Me Happy

As part of our ongoing effort to simplify our Christmas decorating

without sacrificing our love of white lights and meaningful treasures,

I have repurposed two groups of ornaments.

I used the ribbons that were already on these sparkly silver

outdoor balls and stars to attach them to a lighted wreath.

2.5 hours later, the finished wreath now hangs 

just outside the door of DH's workshop.

Love the sparkle it adds to the evening darkness.

I tried a different approach with these

frosted white glass ornaments.

Using high temperature hot melt glue was MUCH faster

and far easier on my fingers.

(as in under 20 minutes)

The finished wreath now hangs on the wall

above a group of DH's wood ornaments

that includes this one.

(the circular shadows on the wall are from DH's

segmented/wood-turned mobile that hangs from the ceiling)
