We made it through the overnight barrage of severe weather
(sirens, lightning, wind, thunder, and SO much rain).
The weather guy on TV said it felt like sitting in the batter's cage
but, instead of one pitcher lobbing balls,
there were 8-9 pitchers throwing at top speed ~
there were so many warnings that their computers
(amazing as they are) could barely keep up.
The flooding issue continues to be a problem
for many, many people
and it is expected to worsen over the coming week
as the Mississippi River crests above flood stage ~
at near or likely above record levels.
The map above is as of this morning.
We're in for another day of storms . . .
what shows on the map and more is headed our way.

Oh, my goodness! We were set for t-storms last night, but nothing happened. They're talking rain later today, but nothing dramatic. Hope it settles down for you.

Whew! One (night) down and only one more to go we hope? Until the next time anyway...
We had horrible storms 2 weeks ago in North Carolina. Many deaths and so many homes destroyed. It is hard to believe that nature is that powerful.
I hope you all are safe, Julie! We have been having bad storms here in northern Pennsylvania too...quite uncommon for our area.
