Here's my latest (23rd) Priority Quilt ~ this quote appears on the label: "Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons." (Ruth Ann Schabacker)What am I grateful for? Among other things:
watching the early morning sunrise
hot water in the shower, fresh towels
sunshine, and the wind in my hair
sunshine, and the wind in my hair
lasagne, chocolate, hot tea
God's grace
rainy days
being loved
laughter
my family and friends
my quilts and Larry's wood ~ so many colors and possibilities
kind words; being appreciated/understood
sharing a hug for no particular reason
kitty purrs & puppy kisses
being able to make a difference, even a small one
sunsets, clean sheets, sleep
And here is a photo of my August journal quilt as "a work in progress" ~ each of the 12 for 2007 is being made with a 9" x 12" section of a tattered quilt pieced by my grandmother and used for many years (including on my mother's bed in assisted living and then at the nursing home, until the thin spots wore through and it could no longer be repaired) as the background.
