Words to Live By - The Quilt

Words to Live By is finished!

Measures 48" wide x 60" long.

Quilted with liberated free motion Baptist Fans
using Eggplant Glide thread.

These photos were taken outdoors
on a very overcast (damp) morning.

Indoor photos just did not do the colors justice.

I am so very pleased with the way this came together!

Thanks to Ann and Kaja
with the Ad-Hoc Improv Quilters
for their "words on quilts" challenge.

The texture and feel is wonderful.

Fully recliner-tested and approved.

Take-in days for the upcoming Davies Manor quilt show
are Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Thursday is hanging of the quilts day.

The show runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10-4.

If you are in the greater Memphis area,
I hope you'll come see the show!

Stunning quilt: the colours are great. The words are what makes it of course!

I love it more every time I see it! I must get me some stamp alphabets and try this. Love the back too. Perfect!

I envy your choice of colors and prints, prints I struggle with when piecing.

It's just lovely, Julie! Between the cool colours and the steady beat of the design, it feels both calming and uplifting at the same time. Great interpretation of the challenge!

What a beautiful, inspirational quilt! I love how the stamping technique turned out and the quilting is lovely. I love how you used the sashing fabric for the binding, too. Wonderful!

Absolutely gorgeous! I love those blues and purples, they really shine, even with the overcast skies. Congrats on a fun finish.

What a beautiful quilt. The colors and patterns are deep and rich as the words expressed on it.

This is really pretty. Reminds me of seed packets, which spread the same kind of love and inspiration.

WAHOO! It turned out to be fantastic. The Baptist fan quilting enhances the whole feel of the quilt. Just a beauty!

I LOVE this! I too am thankful for the challenge. I'm slowly adding words to a Victoria Findlay Wolfe inspired quilt.

Still admiring this quilt - even more now that you've finished it. The colors are perfect for you. I like the variety of blue fabrics you wrote on, that you kept them all blue, and the way you changed your printing from word to word. Also that you found so many words! Your fans look so good. Thanks again for giving me some tips. It's my new favorite quilting design. And thanks for linking this fabulous post with AHIQ.

This looks stunning, but the thing I love most about it is the words you chose and the way they combine with the piecing/fabric choices to make something that reflects who you are as a quilter: perfectly personal.
