Odds and Ends

This is NOT my quilt top - but I love it!

It was pieced by a local quilting friend

who brought to our Wednesday group

so she could pass it along to Chris for quilting.

It is SO vibrant and full of movement . . .

Yes - those are two of Mr. Marvelous's toy parts in the corner

DH has spent the last week or so removing

the 25+ year old green tile floor in our sunroom

and replacing it with this new ceramic tile.

(each tile is 12" x 24")

Solid, soothing

AND

much easier to keep clean.

This is the breathtakingly beautiful backing fabric

I chose for the second of my two mystery quilts

for this year's Davies Manor show.

(Lilac Rose PJ-17 by Philip Jacobs-Westminster)

I really want to sit down and get these two quilted

but there is a lot of LIFE going on right now.

Elder son and DDIL have a new-to-them-house contract

and are busy preparing their current house for listing.

So . . . Mr. Marvelous is spending more time with us

to let them stay focused on the many tasks at hand.

It's going to be a busy couple of months.
