Mrs. Goodneedle and I have known each other
for many years now but we'd never
met face to face until last week.
(when asked "how we met"
we both responded "through blogging"
and quickly agreed that our initial connection point
was Nancy at Blogging Near Philadelphia)
In Debbie's words, our brief time together felt
"more like a reunion instead of a first meeting."
Our husbands felt the same way.

There were many smiles and much laughter
as we shared a meal in the Folk School's dining hall
where conversation flowed as stories were shared.
All too soon is was time to
head off in our opposite directions,
but we have plans to meet up again.
In the meantime,
memories from our brief time together
will bring quiet smiles of joy to our faces.

Such a nice story. I have an online quilting friend that I met for the first time last year and it was like we had known each other for years.
Big hugs to you, my (now in person!) friend and long-lost sister! Although the photo above might lead one to believe that I am half asleep I do think I am squinting into the much-welcome sunshine. I can't help but laugh at the number of layers I am wearing, you could say that I was prepared for any and all temperatures! Ha!! The John C. Campbell Folk School was blessed to have you as an instructor last week, as were your lucky students! :)
What a terrific story! It would be so great to meet the people whose blogs have affected my quilting life. I did meet Sarah Craig for about 3 minutes at Paducah a couple of years ago. Your class sounds like a dream.
It's so nice to make friends where the two couples get along so well! Both husbands are handsome fellas, too :)
What fun!!!!
how wonderful. I can feel the excitement of meeting and realizing you were meant to know each other. And the husbands like each other too... what a gift! Lucky...
too fun!
How nice! Sounds like a dream friendship, with even the husbands liking each other. Wow!
I cannot tell you how much I loved reading this!
How fun to meet a blog friend in Real Life!
Looks like fun. I have made some really amazing friends on blogs!
Fantastic! I have met only a few of my blogging friends in person. Hope to meet more in the future, including you!
