Last summer, I took this photo
along the southeastern shore of Lake Michigan.

I've named my just-finished quiet zig zag flimsy
Beach Grass
in honor of the glorious greens of those grasses
and the many variations of warm, golden sand.

The flimsy measures 55" x 64"
and
once I finish seaming up the back,
Beach Grass will be off to stay with Chris.
She has a marvelous plan for quilting . . .
It will definitely be worth the wait!!

p.s. For those who mentioned dust/dusting issues for the new studio window installation, I do have a plan. Once a month, the jars will be taken downstairs and run through the dishwasher. While they are away, the glass shelves will be removed so they and the inside window can be cleaned. Easy peasey. (NOTE: I could not have done this when Miss Angel lived with us - she would have been very unhappy to relinquish "her" windowsill!)

I guess I didn't think of dusting because I don't, LOL!!
DiNozzo the big Basset boy, loves to sit in my studio window seat and watch the squirrels and people pass by. He snoozes there for long long periods while I sew.
Your Beach Grass flimsy is really beautiful!! I can hardly wait to see how Chris will quilt it. I have a row of coloured vases across a window, and I don't mind dusting them every few weeks, it gives me a chance to appreciate them and the pretty effect the light makes with them.
It is such a soothing quilt! I love it!
Very nice use of the low key fabrics. Soothing and serene.
"Beach Grass" - perfect. :- )
Ha! I never thought about dusting...now what does that say about me,smile
