Random Spontaneity - The Quilt

Random Spontaneity is finished!

It measures 53 inches wide by 62 inches long.

Created during the Postcard Quilt Along.
(please see link in my side bar)

And THEN we went on a proper photo shoot!

(younger son was visiting and helped out)

I've loved the railroad track quilt photo in Kathy Doughty's book
and the photos in this post on the String Thing Along blog for ages.

Quilted by Teresa Pino of Quilts 2 a T
using the Dancing Lines panto.

(you can find her on Facebook)

I just love that everything in this quilt came from my stash,
and so many of the postcard blocks from previous quilts!

There's something about looking off into the distance like this . . .

so many possibilities!

This is a beautiful quilt - and the parallel lines of the quilt are mirrored quite nicely with the parallel lines of the train tracks. I've been thinking about a baby quilt to make and this one might be the one!

Oh this is lovely! I'm disappointed I didn't see it earlier but realize you posted while I was on vacation. Anyway, I like it ALOT - beautiful execution, and I'm so glad you are pleased with it!
