Ice Cream Roses

At long last, Ice Cream Roses is finished!

This slow cloth project began nearly a year ago when I bought the fabrics.  Instead of machine stitching the flowers in the French Roses pattern, I hand stitched them in place.  Once I had the top assembled, Chris worked her longarm magic with some beautiful custom quilting.

This one will be a third wedding anniversary gift for our son and daughter-in-law in June.

Wow, that's some serious quilting! I bet the quilt as a whole is stunning.

It is so soft and pretty, a perfect anniversary quilt. Chris did a great job on the quilting.

I bought the kit for the French Roses quilt. I brought it out last night to think about starting it and decided it looked like too much work for right now. It looks beautiful though, maybe I need to take another look.

Quite an heirloom quilt. I love the mix of retro and modernity in it.

This is a beauty and I love the quilting that Chris did. Reminds me "quilting makes the quilt."

Julie, it's gorgeous! You work in such a variety of styles, it's really fun to see what you come up with.
